Spanish Furniture Sector Shows off its New Developments in the United States

New York’s ICFF and HD EXPO fairs are the two main US showcases in the furniture sector, and have served as an important meeting point for Spanish manufacturers and North American opinion formers.

Madrid, Spain, May 31, 2013 – New York’s ICFF and HD EXPO fairs are the two main US showcases in the furniture sector, and have served as an important meeting point for Spanish manufacturers and North American opinion formers.

The United States is still in love with Spanish design, and this was clearly evident this month at the two most important fairs in the sector. While Spanish sales in 2012 exceeded 3.191 billion, exports between January and February 2013 rose by around 14% with respect to the same period a year earlier.

The international success of Spanish interior design and home living sector companies has resulted from the country’s firm decision to expand into new markets, with the United States being one of the most important. It is the seventh leading importer of Spanish tiles, the eighth top buyer of furniture, and the sixth biggest customer for -made in Spain- home textiles. The goods sold by Spanish companies are known for their variety and wealth of styles, as well as the large number of comprehensive furnishing projects being undertaken by Spanish firms all over the world.

Some 13 Spanish companies attended ICFF in New York through ICEX, which also organised different Spanish design shows in the Big Apple, with the famous Bergdorf Goodman store showing off glamorous designs from the studios of Marset and Vondom, two Spanish companies at the cutting edge of interiors design. Spanish design from Wanda Barcelona was also on display at the W Hotel.

Meanwhile, the HD Expo in Las Vegas, an event for top-level companies in the contemporary living design segment, was attended by 17 furniture, lighting, textile, flooring, bathroom and interior design accessories companies. This was a great success, since the fair is attended every year by specialist visitors including interior designers, decorators, builders, architecture studios, as well as large hotel, catering and restaurant groups.

Choosing The Right Care Home Furniture

Setting up a care home can be a daunting yet exciting experience; however there is one further thing to consider – choosing the right furniture.

Care home furniture must fulfil a wide range of needs, from looking and feeling comfortable and enticing – to being highly functional and durable. The best furniture you can choose covers all of these factors and more, allowing residents (who are often scared and worried at having to move) feel at home; as well as safe and secure.

The first thing to consider is the chairs you’ll place in the living area of the home, as it is useful if the reflect the chairs one might find in a residents’ house. These are generally high-backed, neutrally colour and furled armrests. These should also have ergonomic qualities, as residents will typically be sat in them for a large portion of time.

There are times, such as when the patient is ill or has a turn, where you will need to extract them from the chair easily, causing the minimum amount of distress. Specially-made care home furniture is usually adapted to meet this need, but it s worth having a trail-run before signing on the dotted line. Additionally, chairs should ideally be wipe-clean, so that any accidents are easily taken care of, with minimal impact on the furniture.

Secondly, the furniture found in care home bedrooms is equally important, as it should be comfortable and simple to use. As care homes are generally built with the aim of making them feel like a real ‘home’, furniture can sometimes be less sturdy or durable; but this is something you should avoid at all costs, as your furniture needs to be able to last for years, and be capable of withstanding added pressure from those residents who are less mobile.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, care homes should be a place of peace and tranquillity, allowing vulnerable adults to live out their last days in peace. The best piece of advice is to make it look as homely as possible, without letting the medical aspect overrule it.

How you present that information is going to determine if you get that awaited for interview. Try making use of some of these great tips to write impressive resume cover letters. For the purpose of this article, we will use a generic job of “Office Furniture Purchaser” to illustrate the main ideas.

* Don’t use up your first paragraph with a boring introduction. Grab their attention first. Give them the reasons you are qualified right off the bat. E.g.: Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to apply for your advertised position as office furniture. am keen to talk about the high points of my career from the past 15 years in the office furniture industry with you.

The Convenience Of Buying Furniture Online

For many of us when we want to buy a new item of furniture, whether its something small and relatively simple such as a mirror or a side table or a much bigger piece perhaps a closet or a double bed, we get in the car and head to our nearest out of town furniture superstore in a power center located somewhere miles away.

But did you know that there is an alternative? Did you know that you can also buy furniture online? If youre like me you probably didnt stop to think about that. Ive even looked at a furniture stores website, seen that they deliver, and still gone to the bricks and mortar store. Or maybe thats just me! But buying furniture online is an increasingly popular way of making even big purchases.

From the comfort of your own home, your new sofa, bookshelf, dining table set or water bed (if thats your thing) is just a couple of clicks away. Buy furniture online and youll be saving yourself a wasted Sunday afternoon driving to the store or mall when you could have been enjoying proper family time. The kids will certainly thank you for saving them the trip but also think of the gas money youll be saving too. Treat yourself to a couple of cushion covers with the savings!

The other great thing about buying furniture online is the choice. Many companies who sell fine furniture or handmade items cant afford to have a big retail space, or perhaps they sell from a small showroom or workshop on the other side of the country. Luckily for us, many of these family owned companies have embraced the web and the wider audience it gives them and have the ability to sell via their website.

Buying online from a smaller company, whether fine furniture, antiques, Oriental sideboards, rustic hand carved tables made from reclaimed wood, crystal chandeliers or modern minimalist mirrors are your thing, will show support for small businesses and true craftsmanship. Not only that but youll have a real conversation piece in your home and an item of furniture that will bring you so much more joy to look at and use, than say a self-assembled flat packed closet or bookcase that half the people in your street own too.

In fact the only danger that I can think of with buying furniture off the web is that if youre anything like me, youll end up getting carried away and spending way more than you mean to!

Where To Buy Furniture Online

You’ve probably been through all the different furniture stores. You’ve looked at every place within a 50-mile radius of your home. You want great furniture that is high quality but none of those stores have what you want. You can’t seem to find the right style or the right quality. Everything is either cheaply made or not your style. So how are you going to find the right furniture for your house? You don’t want to drive to any more furniture stores just to be disappointed. Well you’re in luck. You don’t have to drive anywhere, anymore because you can buy furniture online.

If you’re looking for fine furniture, it can be difficult to find. Many furniture stores carry cheap imitations of nice furniture but they don’t carry the high quality products. It can be difficult to find anything that even resembles fine furniture in a physical store. But if you go online, it’s simple. You don’t have to spend hours searching through stores just to find out they don’t have what you want. Instead, all you have to do is spend one hour going through their website. You also won’t be disappointed because there are millions of options for buying furniture online.

To buy furniture online all you have to do is search for what you want. You can choose to find company websites and then search their products for the exact furniture you want or you can choose to search what you want and then check out the various companies that show up as a result. You will be able to search for only what you want and not have to talk to a salesperson that wants to sell you something that you don’t want. It’s much simpler for you to find the furniture online that you want.

Not to mention you’ll find even more options. You wouldn’t be able to find near as many choices for the piece of furniture that you want if you were looking in real stores. However if you decide to buy furniture online you will be able to find all those choices. Not only that but you won’t have to settle for something that is ‘almost’ what you really wanted. You will be able to find the real thing. Then all you have to do is order and have it shipped directly to your house. No hours spent searching through stores and no more pushy salespeople. Finding exactly what you want has never been easier.
